Pork Chops with Pears

A perfect pair, pork chops and pears served over rice (or in this case brown rice mixed with rainbow quinoa) 🙂 = Dinner!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

2 lbs. Pork Chops

1 T. Olive Oil

Salt and Pepper, to taste

2 Pears, sliced thinly

Sauce Ingredients:

1/4 tsp. Cinnamon

2 T. Gluten Free Soy Sauce  IMG_3129

1/3 C. Packed Brown Sugar

1 T. Cornstarch

1/3 C. Dry White Wine (like Chardonnay)

Brown the chops in hot oil over medium-high heat making sure to salt and pepper both sides.

Meanwhile, mix together the sauce ingredients.  Whisk well making sure there are no lumps.

Lay the pear slices on top of the chops and pour the sauce evenly over everything.  Cover and allow to cook for ten minutes.  The sauce will thicken.

Serve over rice, gluten free pasta, or other gluten free grain and pour some of the thickened sauce over the top.
