Gluten Free Power Oatmeal

2 C. Water

A Dash of Salt

1 C. Gluten Free Oats (read the Note on Oats under the tab”Other Interesting Stuff”)

1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon (my all-time favorite is Penzey’s Vietnamese Cinnamon)

3 T. Hemp Seeds

1/3 C. Mixed Dry Fruits (I used figs, cranberries, and dates)

Honey, Brown Sugar, Maple Syrup, or sweetener of your choice

Heat the water in a medium sized pot and then add the sprinkle of salt (adding salt to cold water makes it sink to the bottom and over time will ruin your pots).

Bring the water to a boil and add the oats, hemp, and cinnamon, cooking and stirring until thickened – about 3 minutes.

Stir in the dried fruit and drizzle with your favorite sweetener.
